Matt Reeck graduated with a PhD in Comparative Literature from UCLA in 2018. He has published six translations from the French and the Urdu. His translation of Shrilal Shukla’s Selections from Fifty Years of Ignorance, his first translation from the Hindi, will be published in 2021 by Penguin-India. He has won grants from the Fulbright Foundation, the PEN/Heim Fund, and the National Endowment for the Arts. He lives in Brooklyn with his family.
